Adventure engagement sessions across the Hudson Valley and Catskills. I'm Marlon Ramos, a Hudson Valley engagement photographer based in Newburgh, NY, with hundreds of sessions and weddings behind me. I shoot engagements in the kinds of places couples actually want to spend time.
Your engagement, your story
Now that the two of you have decided to do this thing, it's time to mark it. Engagement photos are how you'll share the news, but they're also a useful warm up. You learn what it feels like to be in front of a camera together. By the time the wedding rolls around, you already know the rhythm.
We'll pick a location that feels like you. A favorite trail. A Catskills overlook. The corner of Newburgh where you went on your first date. We spend an hour or two there, and the photos that come out are the warm up for your wedding day.

Think of it as a good hike where you get to dress up and look good while doing it. You choose from hand picked Hudson Valley and Catskills locations with views worth the climb. If you have a dream spot, we can go there too.
Engagement sessions are included at no extra charge in my wedding packages. Booked on their own, sessions start at the rate quoted on inquiry, including 1 to 2 hours of coverage, two outfit changes, and your full gallery within 2 to 3 weeks.
You will get a first preview gallery within 2 to 3 days. As soon as you choose your top 25 photos, the final edited gallery is delivered.
Sessions typically include 2 outfit changes, depending on the location and time we have.
The best light is golden hour, just before sunset. We coordinate timing based on the season and the location you pick. Hudson Valley fall foliage is a favorite, but every season has its own look.
I shoot engagement sessions across the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Favorite spots include the Shawangunk Ridge, Minnewaska State Park, the trails around Beacon and Cold Spring, downtown Newburgh and Kingston, the Walkway Over the Hudson, and any farm or vineyard you love. Tell me where the two of you spend time together and we'll figure it out.
